California State Parks allows dogs on the Lakeside Interpretive Trail, the Zig Zag Trail, fire roads and along the shore of Donner Lake except China Cove Beach, on a six-foot leash. Dogs are not allowed in the visitor center, on the Nature Trail, or at China Cove Beach.
